Should usury rates be reviewed? Usury means excessive interest. Bell Canada has recently announced that they are changing\r\ntheir interest rate for late payments to 42.58% per annum. Apparently interest rates up to and including 60% are not considered excessive in Canada. Even in a spirited economy, I believe most citizens would feel 24% per annum is too high. How do you feel about this? |
